Frank de Boer said the other day that it is necessary to buy a third keeper if Steek leaves. In the past 7 years, Ajax used the third keeper in some matches every season. But he has a great reflex  . He isn't better then Stekelenburg but he is still in the top-5 keepers of the Eredivisie.
The Top-5 in my opinion
1) Stekelenburg
2) Vorm
3) Michailov
4) Vermeer, Romero,

Well, I have a idea for a long time that 'Pizza' is a good keeper. I watched several matches of Volendam under Adelaar in the season 2008/2009. Verhoeven played really well in my view. He played bad last season just for that he didn't play for Ajax 1 for a long time...
Off-topic: I think that FC Volendam played very well in the season 2008/2009. Their matches were a little 'beautiful'. Positional game, attacking football... However, they finally got degradation that season. What a pity! The qualities of their players were too weak. Even good tactical accomplishments couldn't prevent them from degradation.

Good news for Ajax, AFCAKatwijk! 
For me, Stekelenburg is a fantastic keeper. And I think he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. An absolute top player. We must do everything we can to keep him stay here.

What a flicking joke! Rome only want to pay 6m for Steek which is far less than what they offered. I don't believe it's a right attitude for business.

Personally I don't how those situations are similair in any way, could you please explain that?
