Ajax will have a new try for Sigthorsson with AZ. The player himself prefers Ajax. Besides Ajax, Dortmund and Newcastle Utd have also interested for him.

Is it the first match of Sigþórsson that you have seen?
You thought that 5 million for Sighorsson not too expensive?
Need no longer young, and confident number 9.
Q: What do you expect from Ajax next season??
Participation in the Champions League or the finals of the Champions League?

My thoughts exactly about Sighorsson. Undoubtably he has talent, but at 5 million? and to start in the champions league against defenders like Vidic and Nesta????
I would bring in two strikers if i were in De Boer's position. Somebody established and worth a decent investment like Kadlec who ive heard Ajax are interested in, and in all honesty id buy Voskamp. It would cost under a million euros so there is very little risk in the move, i would class him as a better striker than Darko Bodul, Suk and some of the other striker Ajax have had in recent years. Plus his attitude to suceed and do well for Ajax would be 110% more than someone like Mounir...

Voskamp what a joke.. Isn't a good striker at all for Ajax.. Doesn't have the technical bagage to play in Amsterdam.. Is also a striker for a 4-4-2 system.

You say that, but i point you in the direction of this striker:

He was playing for a Non-league team which is 4 divisions lower that the English Premiership. He moved to millwall who were 1 division below the premiership, and now he has moved to norwich who are a PREMIERSHIP SIDE....
I think that is about the same sort of jump than if Voskamp were to join Ajax. I also think at 6ft'1in Voskamp is big enough to play as a lone striker.
Finally id like to point out that i did say my recommendation would be for Ajax to bring in 2 strikers, one of which being Voskamp who would be my attacker on the bench.
Dont go labelling my posts a joke when clearly you havnt read it properly to understand what i said. Never in my post did i say i think Voskamp would be a superstar or a world class player for Ajax, but as a dangerous player coming off the bench i think he would fit that role.

sorry we could not buy Mathijsen.
We do not know VERTONGEN stay or leave if offered a good deal of the big clubs.
We will be able to find him a good replacement center of defense?

Nice from that Morrison but Norwich is below in the PL, a big difference with playing CL.
Ajax isn't in a position to buy players for the bench, we couldn't afford that people. We only need new players who are better then we have in the Youth.. Voskamp isn't better then a Castillion, Cvitanich or El Hamdaoui (last 2 will leave, but are still here)..

True, but to go from non-league football to playing in the Premier league is still a huge jump, and sorry if i havnt made myself clear, but i wouldnt be starting Voskamp in the CL, thats why i said id buy two strikers (which you have also addressed in your post).
I understand your thinking, but i do think Voskamp is highly under-rated. He scored was it 30 goals in the Eerste Divisie last season, i would like to see if Castillion could match that sort of record if he were to be loaned out...
I also think it is beneficial for Ajax to have a proper dutch striker up front. At least then you know he will be able to do well in the eredivisie if he has the potential. Look at Vitesse, they signed Wilfred Bony for 3 million euros after he had scored bags of goals for Prague, but so far he has failed to settle in the eredivisie.
I am also suprised to hear you say that Ajax cannot afford 1 million for a striker... How will De Boer be able to sign somebody like Matavz then? Or Kolbienn who they have already bid around 3.5 million euros for?

You misunderstood me.... I meaned 1 mil for a striker on the bench.. That's unnessecery.. We have some money not much but we need to spend that on quality nog quantity. You wanted to buy 2 strikers, that's something we can't afford. We still have Cvita and Mounir.
Because Voskamp made 30 goals he would be good enough for the bench from Ajax. It's a typical striker in a 4-4-2 system like Makaay in his good days. Not an Ajax-player att all. Voskamp could play with teams like NAC perhaps Groningen or Heerenveen but that will be his max.
Boney has been injured most of the time. He played at a crappy team also. When he played it was dangerous.

I think that to buy a centerfoward from Juplier League is dangerous even if he can score 40 goals per season. Eredivisie is different from Juplier League.

Ajax bought full losers in the past more than 10 years. We must improve this. Have you ever seen the report of VI in 2008?
Ajax bought 71 players in the last 10 years. Only 13(!) of them are 'good'. 'Good' here means a obvious strengthen in the selection or earning money from him.
These 13 players are Cristian Chivu, Tomás Galásek, Bogdan Lobont, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Maxwell, Steven Pienaar, Hatem Trabelsi, Julien Escudé, Zdenek Grygera, Hans Vonk, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Gabri and Luis Suárez.

It is foolish to pay 5 million for Sigthorsson. 
7 million for Matavz it logically and accurately Matavz as an experienced hunter. It's really a player for the Ajax system, the real nomaer 9!

Naast Sigthórsson ook Cavenaghi en Welliton in beeld bij Ajax
Dat Ajax interesse heeft in Kolbeinn Sigthórsson is al een tijdje bekend, maar mocht het niet tot een transfer komen dan heeft Ajax nog andere spitsen in gedachte om El Hamdaoui te vervangen. Fernando Cavenaghi en Welliton zijn de alternatieven voor de spits uit IJsland. Welliton lijkt van deze twee de voorkeur te krijgen.
Welliton
Welliton staat momenteel onder contract bij Spartak Moskou, het zelfde Spartak Moskou dat De Zeeuw mogelijk gaat inlijven. Welliton is één van de smaakmakers bij Spartak en scoorde nog tegen Ajax in de Europa League dit jaar. De 24-jarige aanvaller is zelf ook opzoek naar een nieuwe uitdaging en hoopt die in West-Europa te vinden. Ook is het nog mogelijk dat hij in de transfer van De Zeeuw mee gaat spelen, een eventuele ruil deal is dus nog mogelijk.
Naast Welliton staat ook Cavenaghi op de shortlist. Hij speelt nu op huurbasis in Brazilië. Hij is officieel nog eigendom van Girondins de Bordeaux, daar maakt hij furore samen met Arsenal-spits Marouane Chamakh. Of Cavenaghi het zelf ziet zitten om het zonnige Brazilië volgend jaar te verlaten voor het regenachtige Nederland valt te betwijfelen.
Ajax zelf wil de belangstelling nog niet bekend maken. Hij zal dus afwachten zijn wie van deze mannen volgend jaar met nummer 9 in de spits van Ajax speelt.
