9 Kévin Gameiro
Its price is at least 13.500 million euros, but a player who is worth the money, 36 games 22 goals, an attacker with the Luso-Brazilian style of play.
Memorable that Jan Huntelaar Ajax bought for 9,000,000 (not the 3-5 million). And he justified desire.

I think Ajax don't has that amount of money. (13.500 million euros)
But Brasilian forwards are almost always dangerous in front of the goal. We will see who will play in the centre forward position next year, but if i were you i shouldn't expect much.

In the next year?? You joke? This year, we have no money?
Ajax in August begins a new season and the Champions League in September, without the striker is wrong.
I think De Boer smarter than Jol, and not repeat the blunders.

Well, I always find that a Latin forward is not very suitable in typical Ajax's number 9 position. I mean mostly, not every one. Because the player who plays this position of Ajax needs to be very disciplined in tactic. However, most Latin forwards haven't this attribute.

Yes, with the Champions League we will get more money. But look at Sulejmani. 16 million euros. He is an OK player, but sometimes he plays good, and another match he is invisible. So Ajax has to watch out with buying lots of players.

We need a scored player as Pantelic, there are a good attack but no goals, it is a problem in last years at Ajax.
The main thing is the result of the expense, a beautiful game and no result.
In a game with Spartak do not forget. before in Dutch Eredevisie that when he played 40 times Suarez attacks - 27 in shots on target, but no goal.People come crazy.

Yes, your right. But forwards that can score easily, have technical skills and are good in the air are not easy to find. I think Matavz will be a good option, though FC Groningen (where Matavz plays now) will ask a high amount of money. (7-8 millions, i guess)

De Boer will build the new Ajax, this compound in the Champions League crush.Need fill all the weak position
1 Defense

Defense is not necesarry as long as Vertonghen stays. But we really need a centre forward indeed. Note: With Theo Janssen, Derk Boerrigter and Thulani Serero Ajax bought three great players, despite that are not centre forwards.

Yes, we already have three good transfer, Janssen will fill the middle, and Boerrigter left flank of the competition!
But what about the defense I have great doubts. Van der Wiel many bug (for example, the match with Excelsior) Toyvomaki it should replace my opinion. Vertongen support midfielder with a good shot, he's not 100% central defender.Matejsen must replece he.
My opinion if Vertonghen let as Anita, he will become a super duo.))

Yesterday watched Match Belarus - Iceland, Sigtorsson unimpressed, it's a good player but Matavz much better.
I think De Boer sell Munir Hamdoui and add more to buy TIM MATAVZ.

This is my take on the Ajax striker situation, which is very important if Ajax want to do more than just be present in the CL next year.
Ajax need a big(ish) striker because of the system they play. Two attacking wingers mean that the lone striker is forced to head or hold up the ball in most passages of play. Suarez was perfect for this role because although he was not huge in size, he could head the ball, hold the ball up, use some tricks or just use his movement to confuse the defence. Obviously it would be very unlikely that Ajax would discover another Suarez so soon.
As for the strikers in question, i dont think any fit the bill. Sigtorthsson (spelling) is much too young and inexperienced to lead the line for Ajax. He obviously has lots of potential, but im sorry, Ajax will play in the Champions league next season and Kolbienn would be lost in such a competition. I believe his best choice would be to go to PSV, especially if they can hold onto Toivonen and because of the 4-4-1-1 system Rutten uses.
I also think Matavz, although a good striker who could potentially do well for Ajax, is much too expensive for the player he is at 7+ million euros. For that sort of price i would expect Ajax to be getting a much more polished end product, Ajax may aswell buy Junker and save a lot of money!
My initial suggestion for Ajax would have been Ricky Van Wolfswinkel. I think that injuries and a weakened FC Utrecht side let him down this year, and i think at 5.5 million it would have been a perfect price for Ajax to jump in and grab him. Ricky posses lots of agility, size and ability, something that Bas Dost could only dream of! Unfortunatly Sporting realised the bargain that was to be had and swooped in to buy him. I truly feel Utrecht were slightly robbed in that transfer.
So alas i have no idea who Ajax will sign as their new number 9. Im glad Ajax have the scouting network they do, as this new striker may well have to come from international reaches due to the inflated european transfer market. I do not think it will be Dost, who should in all honesty try and become a success at Heerenveen before moving onto pastures new!
If i were to make a few suggestions it would be to bring in two strikers, in that case there is a better chance of at least one doing well:
- Everton - Heracles Almelo
- Johan Voskamp - Sparta
- Dmitri Bulykin - Anderlecht (On a Bosman?)
- Baba Diawara - Maritimo (€2.75 million)
- Tomáš Necid - CSKA Moscow (probably the most expensive, but he may be tempted with regular first team football. at the moment he is stuck behind Vagner Love and Doumbia.)
These are just a few of my suggestions, but i have no idea who De Boer will chose....
P.S. in terms of defenders, if Vertonghen leaves then surely Mathijson will return... if VDW leaves then maybe its time to give Ligeon or Van Rijn a chance?

Of your list I only see Baba as an option. Unfortunately I do not think he is on Ajax' shortlist. The others are or not good enough or too expensive (Necid).

There's only one Baba en that is Babangida . But, your list is not that special, the most players aren't good enough for our Ajax. With Voskamp you have a Jupiler League(1st division) striker. And than Ajax play in the CL with Voskamp as striker, you will be 4th than.

Who is Pett?
Well i would have to disagree. I would class Everton as one of top strikers in the Eredivisie, the only reason he isnt as recognised is because he plays for Almelo and they dont have a good enough cast around him. Bulykin scored more than any Ajax player last season, Baba and Necid could easily beat out Castillon for the top striker spot... how are they not good enough?
Finally i am one of Voskamp's biggest fans. Everyone forgets he was one of Sparta's best players the season they got relegated. He has size, strength and and eye for a goal. Obviously i would sign Voskamp AND someone else, but i really think if he came to Ajax he would be a great signing! Plus Ajax could sign him for under a million euros.

I'm sorry. I don't agree with you. Suarez is a fantastic foward, but he is not a perfect Ajax number 9. I think he is a moving foward. He can score with his fantastic individual qualities. Considering supporting the team's attacking, I think he is not top when he plays number 9 position. I prefer a targetman, like I said time and time again. De Boer said earlier that he wants a Kluivert, a real targetman.
The options you have offered I dont know very clearly. I only watch Ajax games. But I have some views on Van Wolfswinkel. I'm sorry if I am straightforward. But I think that he is not a professional footballer. He looks like a patient, very thin and weak.

Anita can also play this position.

Well i would say over a 100 goals for Ajax would prove my point. Obviously Suarez isnt a tipical number 9, but just because he does not have the physical presence of a Van Basten doesnt mean he cannot play the number 9 role. Suarez overcame his size with magnificent movement and ball control, he could also hold up the ball better than most big lumbering number 9's out there. If you want a big lumbering number 9 then go for someone like Streller from Basel, but i think Ajax need more than that.
So what because he is skinny and looks like a hospital patient he cannot player football. I think that is very insulting to a man who has just moved to Sporting Lisbon for 5.5 million euros. I dont know if years of hoping if Li Tie and Sun Jihai will become decent footballers have moulded your football mind, but Van Wolfswinkel is a very good striker with huge potential. He made some of Liverpool's defenders look silly, he could easily play for some of the best sides in europe.
Finally i think Anita is more suited to a Urby type role. I dont think he is the strongest defensivly and his pace can be better utilised in midfield or in a defensive midfield type role like De Boer put him in at the end of the season.

He can play the number 9 role. Yes. However, this doesn't mean that he is perfect at number 9 position, right? I regard him as a 'libero in the attacking'. With all respect for him(he is one of my top 10 Ajax players). The biggest point is that a centerfoward should play for the attacking of Ajax, not the attacking of Ajax plays for him. Two seasons ago, there is a saying 'all balls to Suarez' in Holland media. Do you think it's good for Ajax? I don't think so...

OK, I am sorry for the word 'patient'. Maybe this word hurt you. I only want to say that he may injured easily in physical duels. Btw, those two guys you mentioned, I watched less than 10 matches of theirs ever. Further, 5,5 millions cant improve anything. Denilson you must know. And you are familiar with European football. You can easily find out some other players like Denilson.

I agree with you. But next season there will be an intense competition for him to gain a basis place in the midfield.
