Prob it will be: Vermeer; ?-Ooijer-Vertonghen-Boilesen; De Jong-Enoh-Eriksen- Sulejmani-El Hamdaoui-Ebecillio
on the questionmark:
-Vd wiel or Anita. If both are not fit enough to play it will be Ricardo van Rhijn I think..
Lucky we dont have Jol anymore at the bench otherwise the defence could be:

This is true, its nice to see Ajax have depth as Blind has been very shaky the last few times ive seen him play!
Ive also heard Van Rijn is training with the first team too, in a way id rather VDWiel not be fit for the weekend, ricardo probably has a better chance of becoming the great defender both Ajax and Holland need!

Ajax played not very good (again). Ajax had full possesion of the ball, but few chances created via combinations.

Well Guys im now back home after a truly fantastic weekend. Got to Amsterdam early saturday morning and had a walk round and hit the bars early !!! I got in contact with Ben and arranged to meet him about 8pm. Gary The Chairman of the Lowestoft Town FC had a great night with Ben talking football and drinking and Im glad to say we all got on really well from the first minute it was as if we had known each other for a long time. On to the day of the Match and we got to the Arena about Midday, Walked around and took some pics then went to the Fans Home, what a fantastic set up it is in there. The guys were interested to hear about the trawlerboys and were please we had come across to watch AFCA. Then it was time to meet Ben, which we did and then went back to the Fans home for another beer. On to the match The view from where Ben stands is fantastic and it was great to see all the banners and flags in real life. Ben said the atmosphere was a bit strange due to all the chanting about Van den Boog but I was enjoying it and it wasnt too long before i was able to join in with Jelelelelelelel Ajax Amsterdam.
Though we had a lot of possession in the first half there were no real chance created and it seemed the players and supporters alike were feeling edgy and I could see a Groningen breakaway and a goal for them. Half time arrived and Ben took my flag down and placed it in the left hand corner. The second half carried on much the same as the first with Groningen pressing on the counter attack bring two good saves from the Goal Keeper and then that double clearance off the line by the Ajax defence.
I think that was the signal for the team to to try and find the goal which they did with a wonderful chip over the keeper by Sulemanjari. The atmosphere then changed with lots of singing and chanting then 3 minutes later more joy as Vertonghen put us two up.
Lost more keep ball from Ajax and I could not see a way for Groningen back into the game.
The Final whistle came with more jeers for the board but with 3 points in the bag and PSV and also Twente dropping points it was a good weekend.
Speaking with Ben we seem to be keen to arrange in the future a match between Ajax and Lowestoft Supporters , but of course this will be a long time in the planning.
I would like to thank all the Ajax Supporters especially Ben for making mine and Garys Trip so fantastic and being made to feel part of the Ajax Family.
Cant wait for my next visit next season

More observations from the game: The match was played at a much slower pace than it is in England and it seemed that Ajax always wanted to make one more pass than required, there were many instances when a shot could have been made but the players tried to do one final pass. I think Ericcson had a very good game and he was the one player who stood out thought there were some good shows from Boileson (noticed a few people wearing replica shirts with his name and number ) and Vermeer also played very well

Vermeer did some good saves in this match. However, he couldn't controll the ball very well sometimes. And his choices wasn't correct occasionally.
