Anita was in my eyes clearly the best Ajax player in the match against AZ en Frank de Boer would be crazy not to place him in the starting lineup against Spartak. Anita is a little pit bull who has the capacity to both make sure the man he marks has a difficult match and at the same time he can be important in building the Ajax attacks.

AZ is not very weak in Eredivisie. They lost the 1st goal too early which made them hard to play their game. I think waiting the chances of counter-attack was reasonable for them to play against Ajax. However, too early 1-0 made this impossible.

I hope this match is better than the PSV - Rangers game i just watched....
I dont think ive ever seen a team play a 6-3-1 formation in a football game before, let alone a european one! I hope in the return leg PSV score 6 goals against them because any team which plays such anti-football deserves to be punished!
Hopefully both Ajax and Twente can ease my anger tonight!

Ajax have had every chance in this game, yet they took none, then spartak have 1 chance and they score. Im sorry but this is De Boer's fault...
If he hadnt fallen out with Mounir then Ajax would be winning in this game. I dont know if he needs to be told, but SIEM DE JONG IS NOT A STRIKER....
You cant blame De Zeeuw because he is a defensive midfielder, he isnt meant to score goals... If ajax dont go through this round, or win the dutch cup, it will be because of De Boer's erratic mood swings, ive never seen so many chances missed in one game....

Uk_Ajax....that is not true. El Hamdaoui sabotaged the team and played awful.
De Boer did the right thing. AJAX played very well.
