Nice thread Louisjari,
I follow the NBA also especially the Orlando Magic where Hidayet Türko?lu and Dwight Howard one of my favourite players,
The only thing what i know about of Rik Smits is that he'd played for the Indiana Pacers.
So your'e a Heats fan ?

Yes, and he is a Dutchman.

Sure. Only for LeBron James. Miami Heat lost 125-95 to Spurs today... Terrible. 
Spurs is too strong this season. Magic is also a good team, I think.
Let's look foward to the play-offs. Then will be the real battle!

The spurs are strong but not unbeatable. They won a couple lucky away games but they really have a nice team, so you can say it's a quality.
The Magics lost 81-89 at home against the Bulls, a damn pitty. Hedo had an elbow injury, could return but could't impress with only 2 points.
Howard had an couple of nasty dunks but he also could't stop the Bulls.
Tomorrow it's Heat VS Bulls, interesting. Monday night it's Magic VS Portland, a game that they should win easily.

Well, Rose is playing very good this season. I think he will be an important candidate for the MVP. I will watch Heat v Bulls tomorrow.
This season the East is very intereting. Celtics, Heat, Bulls and Magic have strong quality all. So the play-offs must be very spectacular! I'm afraid of Boston most.

BTW, Dwight Howard has got 16(!) technical fouls this season. He may can't play the game Magic vs Blazers.

Heat lost again, 86-87 Bulls.
I have read in the newspaper that:
When Miami met strong teams this season, they only won 4 games and lost 11. The strong teams are Spurs, Celtics, Bulls, Lakers, Magic, Mavericks and Thunder.

Lebron (again) didn't made the difference during the finals where Nowitzki did at Mavs.
Rose (chicago) was by far the MVP this season, awesome player and if he stays long at the Bulls might get in the shadow of the best of the best, Jordan.
I also think Heat shouldn't deserve it, just because Wade, Lebron and Bosh made a personal agreement with eachother to start at Heat (when they were contract-free/free agent) to win the NBA, and see what happens.
You get what you deserve I guess.
Nevertheless I think Heat has an awesome team, but for this year I think it is great that Mavs won.
ps: I played basketball myself for 7 years as a power forward.
