Ajax appoints sounding boards
Citaat: Following the board meeting which took place on Monday, February 7, and a constructive discussion the following day between general manager Rik van den Boog, Ajax’s Board of Directors, and Johan Cruijff, three sounding board groups have been assigned to give advice to Ajax’s club leadership.
The existing financial commission from the Board will become the sounding board for financial issues. The group now consists of Hein Blocks, Roger van Boxtel, Kees Timmerman and Leo van Wijk. Jeroen Slop and Joop Krant will chair this board on behalf of Ajax’s management and Board of Directors.
The two new advice bodies will focus on association issues and the technical area. The sounding board for association issues will consist of Mark Geestman, Ruud Haarms, Hennie Henrichs, Keje Molenaar and Cees van Oevelen. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Uri Coronel and Cor van Eijden are represented in this platform. The sounding board for technical issues will consist of Peter Boeve, Johan Cruijff, Piet Keizer and Dick Schoenaker. On behalf of Ajax’s management, Rik van den Boog will chair this group.
Discussions will take place in the next few weeks to determine how involved Johan Cruijff will be in terms of any future role with Ajax.

I dont know how you guys feel but myself growing up in the 1970s I feel that Cruyff should always have some involvement with Ajax

Haha, if you guys at the other side of this world even notice that he has to go, then maybe now it's time. Can't believe what I'm hearing/reading the last few days. All he cares about is saving his own skin and it's making me sick.

A prominent name in that list is that of Leo van Wijk a former president and CEO of KLM, friend of Johan Cruijff and a person who has in the past been linked to a role as General Manager at Ajax. It's also good to see that Keje Molenaar will take place in one of these sounding boards. I wouldn't be surprised if Leo van Wijk will succeed Uri Coronel as president of Ajax and Keje Molenaar Rik van den Boog as General Manager.
It's clear that the so called 'group Cruijff' has taken another step closer to the power. It won't be long before the people who are in charge now understand that their time at Ajax is coming to an end.
I do miss some people in the sounding boards. Next to Keizer and Cruijff I would have included people as Neeskens, Gerrie and Arnold Mühren, Ten Cate, Rijkaard and Marco van Basten. All those know Ajax from in inside out because of their pasts as (youth) trainer, scout or player or a combination of those. I understand they wanted to create a select group but I think that these people have more understanding of Ajax and the game than someone like Peter Boeve.

I can't imagine that Ajax can be extreamly good as 1971/1972/1973/blalalalala... However, we should/must/can be better than FC Twente. Seven years without an Eredivisie title is unacceptable.  I hope "Cruijff group" can win this title back.

In the program Studio Voetbal Keje Molenaar told that Johan Cruijff will come to the club with his advices on technical plan. The past periode Cruijff was busying doing this and it is the aim that the advices will be shared next week.

JC talked with Frank de Boer, VDB and Bergkamp yesterday. Mostly on the youth of Ajax.
Cruijff will offer his report of technical platform to VDB Tuesday. This report may lead to a restructuring of Ajax.

De Boer, Bergkamp and Jonk will be the 'supertrio' of Ajax. They will be respectively responsible for Ajax 1, training and scouting.

Cruijff don't want to be a commissioner of Ajax provisionally. He wants to concentrate on the affairs of technical platform firstly. Besides, he only wants to be a supervision role in the Commission Board.

ASD wants Johan Cruijff to take real responsibility for the football technical policy of Ajax. They wrote a letter to JC. They want him to occupy as TD of Ajax.

Ajax and Jan Olde Riekerink, head of youth development, have mutually agreed to end their current contract as of July 1, 2011.
Olde Riekerink (4  began as head of youth development at Ajax on July 1, 2007. He had previously been active at Ajax as a coach. After an internship with A1, he coached a number of youth teams, respectively D1, D2, B2 and A1. After the 1999-2000 season, he was Jan Wouters’ assistant coach with the first team, after which he became coach for Jong Ajax. In his first year as Jong Ajax’s coach (2000-2001), Olde Riekerink and the team were the national champions. The following season, the former professional player reached the Dutch cup semi-finals with Jong Ajax.
In May 2002, he was put forward as coach for the Belgian top league team AA Gent, after which he went on to coach at Emmen at the end of 2003. Before returning to Ajax as head of youth development, he was Co Adriaanse’s assistant coach at FC Porto in Portugal, and he was active at Metallurg Donetsk in the Ukraine. Jan Olde Riekerink served Ajax for eleven years in total.
