If the deal goes through who would you like to see at the Arena, of have you got a rough cut diamond in the reserves waiting to break through

I really hope Ajax dont get Eidur Gudjohanson (spelling), just like Mido hes another 'over the hill' 30+ player who is looking for his last paycheck.

Ajax should be building a young team for the future, my two preferences are either Bas Dost or Johan Voskamp, not young in the literal sense, but in terms of eredivisie experience then yes he is young!

Either of those two mentioned would be a perfect compliment to Mounir and either Dario Cvitanich or Suk Hyun-Jun who i both believe deserve a better chance to prove themselves at Ajax!

For the record: Mido is 27 years old, but otherwise you are right indeed. It seems moreover that Ajax will buy Bas Dost, the current striker of SC Heereveen.

sorry yes you are right, but he has been around for a while, or atleast it seems like it, and he has become much fatter and lazier than he was when he first came to england!

I agree Mido was a big dissapointment in England , he seemed more concerned with his pay packet than playing the game

Mido is just an all-round lazy player. Add to that his greed and lack of team work im hardly suprised he cant seem to stay at one club for a long time.

And ive seen Suk and Bodul have been told they can leave ajax, its a shame especially for Suk, i was hoping De Boer would have given him more of chance seeing as he was basically a coach for the reserves and youngsters.

Yeah i have seen him play a few times both at Heracles and Heerenveen. My feelings are that he maybe isnt ready just yet to be the instant replacement for Suarez (but who is????) but he has as much potential as Van Wolfswinkel and could be a future star for ajax and the netherlands like Bergkamp.

I think Ajax is the best place for Dost to be as he has a good current striker, Mounir, to work with in the early stages of his career, and a former youth coach, De Boer, who looks like he could be creating a new youth generation for Ajax!

I also think Johan Voskamp from Sparta would be a fantastic forward for Ajax to sign. Pretty underrated in the dutch leagues but i feel that if he was put in a team with such quality midfielders like Ajax has, he would be an instant hit!

Dost has filed a case against Heerenveen at the arbitration committee (planned for tomorrow).

Heerenveen are complaining that they have no time to sign a striker if Dost leaves, so why dont Ajax include a striker like Suk in a 6.5 million euro deal which should please both parties.

Heerenveen only paid 2.5 million euros for Dost earlier this season so they a 4 million euro profit and get a young striker, Suk, with potential. Ive also seen Lasse Nilsson is available from Vitesse for around 200k, they could snap him up too!

Because Suk isn't good enough. And his contract will expire after this season.

no 343, He's not good enough for Ajax... Being good enough for Ajax and for Heerenveen are two totally different things. 3/4 of the Heerenveen squad wouldnt get into the Ajax side, heck their goalie is an old Machester City reject who couldnt cut it in the DANISH league!!!

Plus they would get Suk for the 2nd half of the season, rather than having to wait until the end of the season. I believe ive seen an article somewhere in which their coach states he still thinks they can achieve a european place at the end of the season... <img src='smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif' />

Generally, nobody Ajax can get has the ability to replace Suarez. Unless this time Ajax has great good luck.

This is a very good point, even if Ajax had spent lots of money on a replacement who can say he would be a success.

Anyway, if you look on the bright side this gives a few players a chance to make themselves an Ajax legend!
Players like Sulejmani, Suk, Cvitanich, Özbiliz, Ebecilio, Jozefzoon and Lukoki all have the rest of the season to prove themselves and become full time starters for Ajax. Plus this is all without any money being spent by Ajax <img src='smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' />
