30th April 2011
Folkestone Invicta 1 Lowestoft Town 4
A tense day for the Trawlerboys. 0-0 at half time and the play off place was still in our hands, Then shortly after the break Folkestone Scored and as other results stood we were out of the Play Off place. Even when Matty Nolan equalised after Folkestone were reduced to 10 men a draw would not have been enough. Luckily Adrian Forbes put us ahead then Andy Cave Brown and Russell Stock made it safe.
We now play local rivals who beat us on Easter Monday 1-0. the game is away on Tuesday night

Sat 7th May
Tonbridge 4 Lowestoft 3
Well the dream is over we fell at the last hurdle. We got off to a bad start going 2 down inside 20 minutes but then pulled one back, only to give away a stupid penalty just before half time so at the break we went in 3-1 down. The 450 travelling Trawlerboys diidnt stop singing or believing and within 5 minutes of the restart we had pulled it back to 3-2. then with 15 minutes left we equalised with a stunning shot from Lubo Guntechev into the top right corner. With extra time approaching Tonbridge looked rattled and I could only see one team going on to win, then time stopped still they broke and got the winner. we had chances in the 5 minutes of added time but it wasnt to be.
I am so proud of LTFC the way they have played in this level of football for the first time in their 126 yeear history, Now for a well deserdved break and we will come back stronger and better next season

Great news for the Trawlerboys. Craig Fleming stays with us
After much speculation about the future of Craig Fleming, and after media reports linking him in the past with Histon and more recently Cambridge United.
Lowestoft Town Football Club Chairman Gary Keyzor is proud to announce that Craig has committed his future to the Trawler boys by agreeing a long term contract and accepting a full time position within the club as “Director of football.”
Craig will take control of all footballing matters at the Crown Meadow as well as assisting with promoting the club within the community.
The 1st team management trio will remain the same as last season, as Craig Fleming, Mick Chapman and Adrian Gallagher once more prepare to try and take the club to another level of the non league pyramid. Colin Whiteman will continue with his role as club Physiotherapist.
The U18’s will be managed by Steve Smith and assisted by Lee Roberts. The club has now agreed to run an Under 15’s along with the Under 16’s and Ladies team, and the managers are to be appointed in due course. Steve Smith will also oversee all youth teams by also taking on the role of youth co-ordinator.
Having Craig agreeing to come on board in a full time capacity is a fantastic appointment for the club, showing that we have the ambition to make Lowestoft Town Football Club much bigger and better than it already is.

Have you got all of your pre-season sorted out now?
If not you should try to get in contact will my club Millwall and try to arrange a game with a millwall XI team. Im sure it would be a great test for both lowestoft fc and some of our youngsters/trialists.
We seem to be interested in playing more local and english teams to try and help the game over here in the UK, rather than a lot of the other teams around us who go on tours to the USA or Turkey for example.
We already have fixtures lined up for Gillingham and im pretty sure they are trying to get Southend. But every offseason we also set up a number of Millwall XI friendlies, it might be worth a try?

yeah we have a talented set of young lads (not Ajax standard of course!) but since weve degraded from a youth academy (cost between 300k-500k per year to run) to a center of excellence we cant keep the youngsters on youth contracts for as long now.
Any experience they can get is vital, and who knows maybe millwall could send one of two players on loan for a few months.
