Hi I have followed Ajax since 1970 when I saw them play Panathinikos at wembley. I am the Chairman of a supporters Club for a non league team in England called Lowestoft Town. I was wondering if we could arrange to set up a fans alliance between Lowestoft and Ajax. I am afraid I can not speak Dutch so if you could answer the post in English Thank You, Good luck for the season

I am not sure how we would go about it with Ajax being a major force in World Football and Lowestoft being a non league team.
However if we could start by getting some alliance between the supporters ,may be things could grow from there. I would love to bring some Lowestoft supporters across to Amsterdam to maybe play a game against Ajax supporters and may be get in a Ajax match some time but that is in the future.
I am the chairman of the Lowestoft Town Supporters Club so if you would like to be my point of contact maybe we could exchange pennants etc and see how we move on from here.
It could be exciting times ahead.
Good luck for the match this weekend Lowestoft Town are at home to a London based team called Croydon Athletic.

I'm taking a look at your posted links right now and it seems very nice. I also started an topic about Ajax Amsterdam.
One question: Besides the fact you saw Ajax play at Wembley back in 1970, how do you follow the club nowadays ? youre still supporting Ajax? and in wich way ?.

I am also a manchester united supporter but have not been since the Glazer Takeover, Thats when I went back to my home team of Lowestoft I always look for Ajax results on the internet and have been to the Amsterdam tournament twice. I also saw Ajax play in Birmingham in 1979 but not a good day as we lost .
I was a big fan of Cruyff (Johan not Jordi !!) Neeskins, Rep and Sty I think the Ajax team from the early 70s was pure fantasy football and i am honured to have seen them play

we are now 6th in the League 7points behind the leaders with 5 games in hand

Lowestoft Town 4 Croydon Athletic 0
An clinical second half performance saw Lowestoft Town hammer Croydon Athletic at Crown Meadow.
The Trawlerboys kept up with the Ryman League Premier Divisions leading pack – still with a number of games in hand on their rivals – after goals from Matt Nolan, Russell Stock and Adam Smiths brace put the cap on an excellent display.
Despite struggling at the wrong end of the table, the resurgent visitors had won their last three league games – however, they showed only limited attacking desire on Saturday.
Town should really have been ahead before the break but could not make the most of their superiority or chances, with Nolan spurning the best of them as his lunge failed to connect properly with a Joe Francis cross. Andrew Cave-Brown produced a brilliant block, virtually on the goal-line, to deny Shabazz Baidoo and ensure there was no first half sucker punch.
And six minutes after half-time Nolan deservedly put the hosts ahead – from there Town never looked back. Good work from Stock – making a first start since his new year return to Crown Meadow – teed up Nolan, who curled a sweet right-footer from 20 yards inside the far post and beyond Rams goalkeeper Charlie Mitten.
The Croydon stopper pulled off a world class reaction save from a matter of yards as Andrew Fisk completed a flowing move on the hour – but minutes later Smith produced a stunning effort of his own from at least 25 yards, which flicked in off the far post.
Stock blazed over from close range before he was able to celebrate his first goal since rejoining the Trawlerboys, heading home an excellent Andrew Cave-Brown cross with 13 minutes remaining after a neat build up. And four minutes later, a challenge on substitute Lee McGlone saw referee James Turner point to the spot, where Smith sent Mitten the wrong way to put the Blue gloss on an excellent afternoon’s work; Town goalkeeper Andy Reynolds tidy stop to prevent Baidoos late consolation was the icing on the cake.

I was a few days thinking of what I knew Lowestoft Town, but now I know from what.. I'm simulating a FM11 game with the club: fleetwood town, they played last year in the league from you?

Fleetwood play at the same level as Lowestoft but are in a Northern League

Yes Fleetwood are in the Blue Square North, which is one Step up from Lowestoft who play in the Rymans Premier League. If Lowestoft gain promotion this season they will enter either the Blue Square North or Blue Square South
