Serero gets a call-up

Thulani Serero was surprised by his call-up to the national squad by Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane.

Bafana Bafana will play Kenya on February 09, 2011 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

Serero, who is in outstanding form this season said, “I am surprised by the call-up because I did not expect it so soon. I certainly will do my best if given the chance their is fierce competition for places in the national team and I will not disappoint the national selectors.”

Serero leaves on Sunday to join the national squad

Former Ajax players Moeneeb Josephs, Steven Pienaar and Daylon Claasen have also been selected for this squad.

Kick-off for the match on Wednesday will be at 20h35.
