Atleast he tries to play attractive football instead of the infamous eastern defense blockade and lure on a a counter ;) Though you guys did that to us in Kiev.

He drove a team of players who were its leaders. Bangura, Aliev, Diakhate. These players are stronger on the head of those he invited. Danilo, Almeida, Popov - funny players. Rubbish. In the 2008/2009 season Dinamo a formidable and capable team. We had a spirit.
It all fell apart. And what in return? Nothing ... There is absolutely nothing. Games, but we can beat you in the Amsterdam Arena

Indeed you can. You'll be surpised to see how 'many' games we won in Europe over the last few years, especially at home. To see by whom we were beaten or even knocked out just in qualifying rounds. Thus: don't worry.
We should have finished it after Dinamo had a player sent off, but now it's still wide open.

Atleast we've beaten Marseille and Fiorentina @ home . But still he's right. It can go both ways still.

At home we did not show. I was at the stadium in the first half we kept the ball well, but without sharp points. I think that the problems of Ajax in the defense and they should be used. In your defense is pressure, and not to roll the ball across the pitch. I want to believe what we are going to do at Amsterdam Arena. And it was foolish for the Gazzaev to leave the bench Milevsky, very stupid.
Removing a little smashed a game, but this should not justify the coach. The team played poorly. In Amsterdam at Gazzaev last chance to fix it.

I think Ajax should progress to the group stage. The goal Kiev scored does little to the outcome as Ajax still need to win to go through (not statistically but i doubt it finishes 0-0).
I think Ooijer should be used instead of Oleguer who was especially shaky. If Jol doesnt want to play Toby then i feel Ooijer gives Ajax a lot more coordination and protection from crosses and corners.
It still falls to Suarez to produce the goals and if he does Ajax will go through comfortably!
I also hope AZ, PSV, Feyenoord and FC Utrecht are able to progress for the europa league which would help Holland's coefficiants for european competitions!

Yeah, the atmosphere will be dense, looking forward to it.
Got my ticket for 15 euro's, only tickets available now are 150 euro's....

Another great performance from Maarten, he is the 2nd coming of Edwin Van Der Sar!
One thing i realised from last night is that Ajax need to sign another left-back. Urby Emmanuelson was awful and was caught out time and time again. He could of cost Ajax the champions league!
What other defenders do ajax have at full-back? What has happened with Atouba?

Ajax doesn't have the financial resources to buy a new leftback that is substantially better than Anita.
I myself would like to see Blind being given a chance as leftback but for some reason Jol doesn't seem to be impressed by his qualities.
Another option Jol has is to give Boilesen a chance. He's very young and has his defensive flaws but is a natural born defender unlike Anita and Emanuelson.

Yes i did realise Ajax had Blind and Boilesen. What are their natural positions?
Also i forgot ajax has Ricardo van Rijn who is a very promising young right-back!

Blind is a defensive midfielder but played last season for FC Groningen als a right- and leftback and Boilesen is either a leftback or a central defender.
