Honestly the PAOK Supporters..wanted to have a better Draw.Braga from Portugal was for us the possible way to qualify to the next round of the UCL!
But now we cross our ways..well we dont have the best tradition against Dutch Teams..
We played twice against PSV..they kicked us out!
Last year we faced Heerenveen..for the Play Offs UEL..and made a horrible (again) Experience how it is to be not again in some European Cups.
If we face that serious we dont have any chance to pass this Qualifies..but it is Football and we have to wait to see the practice in the Pitch..wonders happend sometime( See Euro 2004 )..
are Stekelenburg, VDW and Suarez gonna play in the first match?? do u know sth about it?? concerning, our best central defender, Contreras, isnt going to play

Few reasons,
1. Ajax has the class to score alot of Goals with Pantelic, Suarez etc. Especially that last one.
2. Dutch Leaugue does have some clubs with poor defenders, they play more offensively.
3. Ajax played a game last year with quickly concurring the ball when lost, and playing with alot of pressure.
4. Ajax wasn't lazy and kept on pushing even when they where 2-0 ahead.

Hello to all the fans of such a legendary team as AJAX FC. Honestly, it's an honour to play against a club like yours. If we want to be realistic, your team is the most probable to qualify. However, we have a strong team who traditionally plays well in the european competitions, having some notable qualifications as the one with Arsenal, noted by other fans before.
Ajax is in a difficult era these years, but i am sure that you will find again soon the road to glory, there are some things that can't change, and Ajax was, is and will be a great european club.
On the other hand, we -PAOK- , since legend greek player Thodoris Zagorakis (MVP in Euro 2004) ended his footballing career and became president of our team, started a revolution in greek football and in just 3 years transformed the legendary -but underperforming the last years- club of PAOK to a real power in Greece. The last year we were very close to win the champioship but (as you already had the chance to know now due to the finacial crisis..) everything in Greece is corrupted, so 4 matches before the end of the season "they" sent us this referee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdiEQsh2JuM) so that Panathinaikos can win the title. Sadly, that's how things work in this fucking country. Anyway, we continue the good work and we will progress more and more every year. The bad thing is that, due to the fact that we didn't paticipate in european competitions the last years, we have low uefa ranking, that's why we are in the "weak" teams eventhough we are not a weak team, that's why this draw is not good for you either.

At the beginning of the season we had some internal problems and many injuries, that's why the team wasn't ready at the time that we played against Heerenveen. Nevertheless, we were better in both home and away matches but we were unlucky, getting eliminated after 2 draws (1-1 home, 0-0 away).

In Toumba we didn't play good enough but we were extremely unlucky with them
however the team wasn't ready at that moment to play realy well (neither is now...)
Generally we follow the same style of football with low tempo,narrow defence and closing down and pressing
we are outsiders even if we play our best

The problem was that we will be not ready for the game!We start our Training Progress before some 15 days..until the match against Ajax it will be a month,during playing also some Friendly Games with some Medium German Clubs.
The Good thing is for the revanche in Thessaloniki,the temperature in Greece right now is about 36-38 C!!..Tropical!
I am sure that the Dutch Teams are not used to play with that temperatures.
Our Defense was last year our strongest weapon.Our Offence might be better this year,cause we signed Salpingidis ..a good National Striker from Panathinaikos with 11 goal average every year + plus his speed,he will be the partner with our tank Muslimovic in the Offence.
About Ajax,i hear that all your stars mey that are not playing in the first Game..is it truth?

How did PAOK do in topmatches against the big three last year (Pana, Olymp, AEK?)
We lost 2-1 at OAKA with Panathinaikos but beat them 2-1 at Toumba and got on the road to the championship
We lost 1-2 from Olympiakos at Toumba but beat them 0-1 at Karaiskaki in a match when we really dominated
And we lost 1-0 at OAKA with AEK despite being better for 65' minutes and also lost 0-1 at Toumba but the psychology of our players was very poor in this match because the referee in the previous match with Aris denied us the chance to win the Champion
At the playoffs we beat Olympiakos 2 times in 2 games one after the other,both times with 1-0
We also had a draw with AEK (0-0) and beat the in Toumba 1-0 in a celebrating atmosphere as we knew we were on Champions League
About Heerenveen, they conceided almost 60 goals last year and where fighting relegation at the time your club faced them.
How did PAOK do in topmatches against the big three last year (Pana, Olymp, AEK?)
We faced them in july-august, i guessed they were not fighting against relegation at that time! but i agreed that they sucked as a team (makes sence, since Sollied was coach there..).

PAOK-Olympiacos 1-2 (start of the season, unlucky)
PAnathinaikos-PAOK 2-1
AEK-PAOK 1-0
Olympiacos-PAOK 0-1
PAOK-Panathinaikos 2-1
PAOK-AEK 0-1 (indifferent match since it was in the last games, after we lost the championship)
Play offs:
AEK-PAOK 0-0
PAOK-Olympiacos 1-0
Olympiacos-PAOK 0-1

I know, still Ajax had 8 players on the WC.

That's the danger I see for Ajax, Ajax can beat you with fast pasisng game which is hard to play at such conditions.

The internationals only got a week vacation, Ajax wants them back this coming week. Question is if they will be ready (mentally/physiclly). I think VDW might have left by then. to Bayern when we play you.

You must be talking about the 2nd leg when we played a 4-4-2 with some very slow players with low stamina (like Garcia and Ivic and Fotakis).It was the first and last time we played 4-4-2 that season
Now again our new coach,Beretta,tries to play a 4-4-2 but i think that PAOK will come out at the matches with Ajax with a 4-2-3-1 which is the formation that our players now best and our team suits best.

Does your team consider a lot of goals from Defending corners and freekicks?????????? (That was a weapon of us in the scoring area last year with Fernando Santos as coach)
Additionally,you have to know that our best full back,Lino,who helps a lot in the attack part will miss both games because of an injury

I think we will play a 4-2-3-1...
With 2 Defensive Midfielders (P.Garcia & Vitolo)....2 wingers (Left Vierinha & Right Salpingidis) Offensive Midfielder will be Ivic and the Striker will be Muslimovic..

I disagree a bit with you here about the lack of length, Pushkin. Central defender Jan Vertonghen is quiet a good header. Also Siem de Jong proved last year to have a good sense of chosing position with corners.
