Could you please write which will be propably be your lineup for the first game???????
Which players are you interested on buying??????
Stekelenburg;
Van der Wiel, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Anita;
Enoh, De Zeeuw, Eriksen;
Suarez, De Jong, Emanuelson.
Something like that...if Stekelenburg, Van der Wiel and Suarez hasn't left AJAX that is.
Some rumors about Braafheid (not a chance), Grygera, Dembele and El Hamdaoui....
De Jong as a central striker...this might be more realistic. Although I still have some hope that Sulejmani finally will shine (for a lousy 16 million).

Hi, everybody, I am a PAOK supporter and I am sure that our games will be extremely interesting because we have the best team in Greece right now. You may not know PAOK because we do not play often in UEFA but we are one of the biggest teams in Greece and we have won 2 times the Greek championship.
Greeting to my fellow paoksakia here!

Our Friend Salamangas is a fan from the legendary emperors of the back neck hit Aris Thessaloniki, our so call town rivals. They are the legendary final floopers also. They usually take a similar to the original greek cup title, the papari cup so that they are finally happy. You can ask him also about their european expieriences (what? ).

So why would he write down he's a PAOk fan?
PAOK is the 'bigger' club in Thessaloniki? I read that Aris though became champions 3x? (Long, long ago...but still)

Salamangas is a strange guy he is affected by the fail of Aris to do something important the last 40 plus years.
The last championship tha Aris have conquered was '46 when German troops had conquer Greece. Also the last Cup Aris have won was the time that greece have military goverment. After the football in Greece became professional and Democracy restored the Aris team never did something worth to mention.

So, lets set the record straight here.
PAOK (not POAK as i have seen it written here ) is located in Thessaloniki, Macedonia,Greece.
The prefered formation for almost two years now, is a typical, rigid, close-lined 4-2-3-1 formation with (well obviously) 4 men in the defence, 2 defensive midfielders (DMs), 2 attacking wing-men and a ''pivot''-like central attacking midfielder composing the -3- behind the sole attacker, a big fellow (Zlatan Muslimovic) who does not score many goals (around 7 per year for 2 years now), but does other things, like pressing, closing down the opposite defenders and breaking the ball to the wings.
In general, this tactic has proved to be quite effective, since for two years in a row, PAOK have the best defence in the Greek championship, with 32 goals against, in 2 years and 60 games played. (playoffs not included). So, its a hard team to beat, at best.
Ajax, being a better team and a team scored 106 goals last season is an overwhelming obstacle for us. So, one can say, its a game b2in a strong attack and a strong defence. Since, Ajax haven't been in the Champions League for three (?) years now, the stakes are high.
Since i dont know a lot about Ajax i ll talk about PAOK some more.
The backbone of the team is the 2 DMs and the ''pivot'', behind the attacker in the centre of the pitch.
The pair of the DMs, is made by two players with different playing characteristics, who complete each other. Vitolo, is a short, run-till-you-die, fellow, who, well, stops running and marking 2 days after the game has ended! You ll see him all over the pitch, covering the defence from one end to the other, putting pressurre in the opposing midfield players, marking like a dog etc, you get the point. Little help in the creative department, but hey, if he could do that as well, he would be called ?avi and he would be playing for Barca. Garcia, is a tall, dont-f**k with me, kinda guy. Slow, but you dont get past him easily. Or you steal the ball from him. What he lacks in speed, gains in experience, by being in the right spot, in the right time to get the ball,or give extra cover. Added to that, he has a great ability to ''see'' the game, aka, delivers the ball to the weak opponent side, chips some killer balls to the wings or to the centre of the pitch. A bonus, good at free kicks. Ivic is the attacking midfielder who haw a dual role. When defending, gives an extra man in the centre, alongside Garcia and Vitolo, enabling both or one of them to defend deeper if its necessary. He is tall, so he helps a lot defending ''dead ball'' situations.
When attacking, he is the man, who usually makes the assist which splits the defence in two, works well with Garcia, creates space for the wing men, (Vierhinia and now, Salpi), comes in the box (unmarked most of the times, since he comes form the back, behind the defence) and is always a danger from crosses and ''dead balls''.
--------------------------------------------------------
Ajax, is the big favorite here, no doudt about it. But, so early in the season, sometimes suprises happen. Prepare, for a tight game from PAOK in Amsterdam Arena, with stern defending, constant cover and the occasional counter-attack. Will it be enough? Probably not and a 0-0 draw will be a great result for us. Althougth, i must say,that i find it almost impossible not to conceide.
The second-leg in Toumba, well, it a whole different story.
Say no to drugs foreno, please we don't want to know how you are under the influense.
Find the polish kanelonia team forum and fill them with lies about the 5000 familys in the club and the majestic Aris flooper team.

Thanks for the info now about Ajax.
The goalkeeper. Has interest from big clubs now, not sure he will move.
In defence Ajax has two Belgian defenders, both schooled at Ajax. Vertonghen has also been played out on midfield and leftback but seemingly in central defense is his best position. Vertonghen can pass a ball around, he’s view on the game offers him his biggest advantage; standing in good position. Alderweireld is more like a traditional manmarker. Both have very good long ball aswell as acceptable basic technique for a defender. Their biggest weakness is still that they aren’t fast. Vertonghen and Alderweireld are growing in their game, but not perfect defenders, this was shown when Vertonghen made two fatal mistakes manmarking Amauri from Juve, resulting in two Italian headers in goal. Still this duo is stable enough, and they rather have a problem with fast strikers than long physical but slow players. So they should be able to stop Muslimovic.
When one of them is out we have former CL winner with Bara Oleguer to replace them. Oleguer almost went to AEK last stummer.
Rightback is one of our best assets with Van Der Wiel, he’s a very skillfull righback with alot of pace and technique. He can make a run and begin a 1-2, cross the ball to the striker or make a shot of his own. If he isn’t stopped properly by the midfield/winger of the other team he can be a real plague. Still Van der Wiel sometimes loses the ball on bad positions, so the risks of counters are his biggest weakness, as well as the fact that he’s not a typical defender. Probably VDW will have left when we play you. Any player than him will be less. Leftback is for Anita a former right defensive midfielder 1.65m. Is he suitable? Yes he is. Anita isn’t spectacular but does his job, and has good technique and stamina for the little player he is.
Midfield Ajax has some different tastes. Sure shot is Eyong Enoh, also playing Cameroon this WC. Enoh is always working, he can be hard in a dual but he isn’t mean. He’s one of those typical African midfielders, a humble version of Jean Claude Makalele. Besides that there’s Dutch international De Zeeuw, de Zeeuw also is more a box-to-box player, always running and putting pressure on the game. His weakness is that he sometimes forgets his role, plays to offensively and is running ‘out of position’. Still De Zeeuw is a player that gives a lot of energy.
De Zeeuw and Eriksen are regulars at Ajax. The third position on midfield is a bigger mistery. Sometimes Urby Emanuelson plays there. He’s a skilled technique player and with a good rush, disadvantage is that he’s a dreamer from time to time. Other options are Siem De Jong, Siem de Jong isn’t the typical Ajaxmidfielder like Sneijder or Litmanen. But he has good runs and knows how to score a goal. Technicly he’s nothing special but his feeling for rushes to a goal and making them adds his value. On the other hand we also have two big talented players, Christan Eriksen, WorldCupPlayer for Danmark, youngest of the tournament is one of those typical ball players you aspect from Ajax. He has been compaired to the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart, he’s one who could reach the same level in a few years. Our other big talent is Nocolas Lodeiro, also World Cup, he’s busy finding his place here since he joined Ajax in januari from his Uruguyan club. Skillfull player like Eriksen.
In front Ajax has their best player, Luis Suarez, responsible for more than 50 goals in all tournamenst together. Besides that he also had 16 assists. Basically Suarez can score and make his action. He’s the pipeline for every goal he can play every position in attack. Two other strikers have left, Marko Pantelic was important to create space for other players and to score aswell (15 goals). Dennis Rommedahl had his role in playing rightwing, where basicly his pace was the main weapon. Ajax is still looking for a new striker and right winger. For now Emanuelson could be a left winger, Suarez in the centre and on the right another solution like youthplayer Ozbiliz.

Hi from Greece guys!!
Be informed that you are playing against Paok that is the team with the largest number of debts in Greece!!!!
Every year the greek goverment let them play in Superleague despite of the 60 million euros of debt!!!
The two recent titles was given to them by the greek goverment (the two cups) with scandalous ways!!!!
They did nothing in Europe even though they play every year because of the referees!!!
Once they put away Arsenal and they bust our balls since then!!!

You forgot to tell about the frozen debts and the banks who open sunday.
Christos is a fan of the other home rival Hercules. The Oldest Team in Greece,
they call them Grannies for that. They are famous to be the only non-existent 100 years team, a ghost team really who usually her only roll is to be 10nth and below.
They number about 300 fans, they say that they have more fans but only them sees them. Generaly they live to blame PAOK for all the bads tha happen to their team.
They have ghost fans, only them see more ghost fans, a ghost team indeed.
Alzheimer is the main reason that cause them so many problems seeing ghosts.

To be honest, we aren't that interested in all the (minor) differences and conflicts between Greek clubs. We like to hear more about PAOK itself, the players, coaches, supporters, media etc. .
