Well, we had a bad game as well tonight. Lost 1-0 to Porto by giving away a very soft goal (that probably shouldn't have stood). In the department of football we were better tonight, but we missed some attacking power upfront. This will partially be solved by the return of Luis Suarez, but even then we miss a real striker in the centre.
But let's not dramatize, these are only friendlies.
Greetings from Karlovasi!!! Few days left for the game. Of course it will be really difficult to win in Amsterdam but I feel that the victory is close enough. Now, who will be the coach of Ajax?

Big mistake my Dutch Friends...a lot of Greeks lives in Holland..!
Before some days i said that the PAOK fans will be more than 4,000 ..now i am sure that we will be about 6,000 - 7,000!
Its a huge number..you have to notice that..very big Number..this Game is very important for us...we cant wait until we see the Team playing in the Arena..
We will stand there..making the Arena Noisy...VERY NOISY...get ready!

Hi to Ajax fans and my fellows PAOK fans
Im from Thessaloniki and a PAOK fan (of course!)
I find this forum searching for a diskussion forum for the 2 games in CL and from the comments i read i think its the most intresting to share our opinions about the preperations and the games.
This videos are for the Ligue Game PAOK - Panathinaikos (2:1) to have a look what you can expect (especialy if we have a good result in Amsterdam Arena)
I feel very disapointed as there is not a charter flight from Samos to Amsterdam on that days... There were lots of Dutsch in Samos during last month and I hoped I could find a cheap ticket to fly directly from Samos to Amsterdam for the game... Anyway the most important thing is to enjoy that game in Amsterdam Arena against the most important football club in Europe. And, of course, it would be really great for PAOK to qualify to the next round!!!

Nothing yet.
They were extensive articles about Ajax's, past and present, the day of the draw.
The Jol issue is also mentioned and they believe that he will be Fulham's manager quite soon. Where do they get their info, i dont know...
The PAOK reporters covering the preseason games and training, are more concerned about the problems of the team then the upcoming game.
And something for my fellow PAOK supporterts. You are NOT doing a great service to our team by posting videos of pure and stupid violence, bragging that ''This is PAOK'', etc...
This is not PAOK, these are some stupid people doing some stupid things (to say the least) in the name of PAOK.
And do not forget fireworks and shit, are NOT permmited in European competitions and there are severe punishments.
Well in my opinion PAOK supporters that will travel to Amsterdam for the game will not provoke violence. This game is one of the greatest importance in the history of our club. After all PAOK supporters showed an excellent behavior during last year though they were provoked several times by the State!

Hoe gaat het Ajax fans ? I'm a P.A.O.K fan as you can see from my name. I think that we don't have so many chances to beat your team but it isn't impossible either. I've been reading your team's news and i saw that 11 players left and only 5 came , and those were Ajax's players who were playing in other dutch teams. I also read that Suarez Stekeleburg and Van der Wiel are about to leace Ajax as well , Arsenal made a 42 million pounds offer for all these 3. Well i hope that these three players leave Ajax as well so your team will be weaker. If PAOK is ready enough for that match I think we will get qualified even if it's hard. I hope my team scores a goal in Amsterdam so things will get easier for us. If we score we'll have big chances even if we lose 3-1 in Amsterdam. I will be happy with a 3-1 or 2-1 score in Amsterdam.
PAOK fans are already doing their suitcases for Amsterdam and there will be a lot of PAOK fans from Germany since we got a lot Fan Clubs there. I wish i'll be able to travel as well.
I hope there won't be any troubles verus both teams' fans and i also hope my team will get qualified !

Come to Toymba and make the same....
Can u?
I did not misunderstand you. Don't worry thinking that I thought that we have to be afraid, because we are not and we do not worry either. I am confident that we will give everything in the ArenA and at Toymba as well.
after the last game against Nurmberg I haave changed my mind. Ajax will defeat us in both games. Our coach is just an italian tourist in Thessaloniki. And the T-E-A-M that finished the greek league as second is no longer a team. Our strong point was defense and now it is just a circous! It it really ridiculous to believe that we can beat Ajax...

This is another characteristic of some of our fans. Now they dont want the trainer because he lost 2 matches has won 2 and has a draw with Nurnberg.
Extra notice 1 that these 5 matches were all friendly in the preparation period.
Extra notice 2 that the trainer is new to the team.
And they make the conclusion that we lose before the game started
PAOK will fight every game for the win. PAOK Above All!

Evening folks!
Like many on this forum, I am a fan of european football, in fact I'm a fan of good european football.
Ajax is a legendary football club and I will always be grateful to them for the truly great performances displayed in the 70s - they captured the imagination of millions of youngsters at the time, and I was no exception.
Then came AC Milan in the late 80s, then Olympiaque Marseilles in the early 90s (despite their corruption issues, they played some pretty spectacular football), and finally Real Madrid in the early 00s.
These are the teams witnessed by me that I call truly great. There's also good old Arsenal who have played some real good football under Arsene Wenger, but they're yet to dominate the European scene.
And then, there's ....PAOK. It really makes me laugh when I read comments from PAOK fans "our fans are noisy, welcome to hell, etc etc". This is all they can boast about. This is a club, whose european success is practically zero. I think (I may be wrong) their best record was reaching the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Cup some 25 years ago and that's it!! Nothing else!!
Of course it's football, and in football anything can happen. I would suggest that PAOK fans behave themselves in Amsterdam, and enjoy the experience. Amsterdam Arena is an extraordinarily beautiful football stadium, and they can take loads of photos outside and inside the stadium. Greek football is light years behind Dutch football, so this is not about "who's going to qualify" as such. It is mostly a learning experience for all PAOK fans and one to remember for the years to come.
