I have to disagree about VDW. Teams will focus on last season for Ajax and more importantly the world cup in which Wiel performed very well. The only reason he isnt performing now is because its obvious he wants to leave Ajax for a team like Bayern or Chelsea. I'd rather ajax recieve £15 million for him now than for him to leave on a free when his contract runs out.
As for Mido, yes i have seen it on Voetbal International and it seems as if he is joining on a permanent rather than a loan. Mido should give Ajax enough depth in the attacker department especially if Suk can push through to the first team this year.
Hopefully De Ridder and/or Leonardo will complete their transfers which would only leave a gap behind Van Der Wiel if he were to move. I know Ajax have a link with belgian club Germinal Beerschoot, do they have any good young defenders Ajax could sign like Vertonghen?

He is on Trial with Ajax, he can prove hisself to earn a contract.

Nah. VDW performs bad because he's tired after playing all league games + World cup final. He had only 1 week off and he actually said himself that he has small pains and has trouble getting him started for such important CL games and League games what i can fully understand. He even played all practise games after his week off. Its a bit of an overkill.
His contract still has a few years going, so that's not really a problem , and when he's in good shape he is actually one of the most important players building up an attack.

Yeah, but the goal wasn't his fault.
No, Toby was demoted because of his poor defending.
I think so, yes. At least a keepers outfit.

Doesnt take away from the fact that Oleguer is a poor defender and not good enough for Ajax. If they have no confidence in Toby then Ooijer should be given a chance. Atleast then corners wont be a problem.
Maarten was very poor for the goal also. Why he chose not to come out and pressure the kiev players is unbelievable. Its a shame Vermeer is no longer an option with his injury. Will Ajax be looking to sign another keeper in the mean time to put pressure on maarten.
As i understand Ajax only have Verhoeven and Bizot as backup.

Vermeer is no good for me as Marten

You are talking about the same keeper who kept Netherlands in the Worldcup AND did a fine job in the WC finals. I know English lads have something with "failing" keepers but you are pushing it too far now :p

I dont know if you understand proper english but i didnt once say anything about Maarten not being good enough. All i was saying is with Vermeer gone for the season they do not have any cover. Do you think Verhoeven or Bizot would be good enough to get Ajax into the champions league?
Anyway the issue is nearly sorted seeing as Ajax are trying to sign Ronald Graafland as backup.

Wow, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Auxerre.... Ajax got the group of death!
The one positive i can take is that i feel Ajax are better than Auxerre and can secure the 3rd place spot with relative ease, it remains to be seen if Ajax will be able to beat Milan and try to grab 2nd spot!
Twente didnt get it easy either! Inter, Werder and Spurs, are Uefa picking on the Eredivisie teams?

It wasn't bad, Pett. Too bad the referee didn't handle the fysical aspect the game right. The goal was a direct cause of the psysical play of Milan. Also the last chance of the game was an obstruction of Zlatan against Van der Wiel.
